Bombay riots.

     The Bombay riots were a series of riots that occurred due to Religious tension between the Muslims and the Hindus. The two religions fought each other to the death because of what the Hindus thought the Muslims did. They killed over 100 people and wounded around 600 people over all. The killing was ferocious with stonings, disembowelment, and burning like we saw in the movie. One reason these occurred were that some Hindus believed that some Muslims stole two of their babies and were going to sacrafice them to ala. These riots happened in 1992-1993 and were every deadly. They were even worse in the slums as these people were terrorized constantly like we saw in the movie. It was a horrible times and many places of worship for each religion were destroyed. This was a horrible time in Mumbais history and tore them apart.
