Well first of, to make more sense of the situation concerning Human Trafficking and children, I'll talk about how child labor laws work. First off if you are at least 13/14 in most countries you can do light work that doesnt interfere with education, and you can't do any dangerous work until your 18, work that interferes with schoolm or rest, or work that exploits you. This exploiting is happening when involves trafficking you, forced labor, prostitution, unfair pay. All these things make labor illegal child labour and it can also be human trafficking.
First out of all these ill talk about Indias problem with Child Labour. Child labour poses a big problem for India. The government is trying to stop it but they have a lot of work to make up. Children are forced to work a lot of times due to the fact many are illiterate or not very smart and that they are living in poverty. The government has also concluded that until poverty is erased then they can't completetly abolish child labour. This child labor consists of everything we saw in the movie, prostitution, begging, and forced labor. The government is trying to put a stop to it by first making any child work in hazardous conditoins illegal.. Also the government is trying to alleviate poverty in India. Finally the government is doing raids to try and take down people suspected of this crime.
The next subject ill cover is Human Trafficking. Human trafficking in India is another problem and a horrible crime. It's a center for internal trafficking and International trafficking. If you dont already know human trafficking is like slavery in a way. It's when humans are bought, sold, and traded and used for labor. These people are forced to do prostitution, begging, factory workers, servants, and forced marriage to name a few. These can be kids or adults. Also India isnt doing much to combat human trafficking. What they could do is do raids or try to help people in poverty, but that is a dream right now. Going on from that, many of these trafficked persons are poor and not very smart. This leads to them being traded. India should try to crack down on this some more but it would be very hard.
Finally, forced labor in India. Forced labor is basically what is happening with child labor and human trafficking. They are captured, or as we saw in the movie, lured in and forced to work. They could beg, be a prostitute, be a servant or whatever the owner of the people decides. If the victims dont do the work the owners could kill, or torture them. This is why human trafficking happens and is the heart of the problem. If India can stop this then everything else would get better. Of course like I said its hard due to poverty.
These three issues all connect and help each other out. They are a big problem with India and very harmful to the victim. We should all be aware of these issues so we can help out too by spreading awareness.
